SINGLE SPEED HARLEY DAVIDSON MOTORCYCLES
I will be clearing out a load of teens parts.
First is a set of Tom Faber handlebars for 1911/12 and will also fit 1910. HD part no AD21. I also have original spirals, repop spirals, the internals and repop inner and outer control wires.
The motor is now fully assembled and the plating is coming back bit by bit. Next job is to complete the roller and then it’s final assembly.
But really that was the highway.
Step starting the 1914 two speed from the ‘wrong’ side. Some great history here. The bike has some lovely accessories, the car in the background, the camera setup and I wonder what’s in that shed.
Just about finished this little bobber during the second lockdown. New paint and just needs the pipes and air cleaner sorting now.
Well the 8D is at least a roller if not a rock’n’rolla. I put the wheels and tyres on just to make her easier to move around the workshop. Real work won’t start until next year but I have most of the parts now.
I have been through the footboards and controls. All threads are good but I had to change two of the board mounts. The grease nipple is wrong and the rubber mats are too short but ready to go.
The build has started on the 10F now. The frame needed the usual tidying up of the threads and the seat post needed to be cut free, the post cut and then re-welded (they all do) and that was about it.
The frame, forks and fenders are all original as is the rear stand and the front hub. The replacement seat post is old repop I think. The front wheel is a mock up with British spokes, original rebuilt hub and a repop rim and the fork rockers, seat bar and oil tank are all repop. I have some original rockers I will add later.
